Snow Fun In Saskatchewan

After a week of very cold temps -40c. here in Saskatchewan it has finally warmed up +2c. Time for some fun in the snow.

PARLIAMENT

Owls are generally solitary ,but when seen together the group is called a  "PARLIAMENT" as they have long been considered to be of a wise disposition. In Greek mythology,the owl is the symbol for Athena,the goddess of wisdom.

Canadian Owls

Canadian Owls

                                These owls are made from a vintage camel colored 100% felted wool blanket. With Canadian Tartan blanket accents. Each owl has a heart name tag stitched on their butts, they are named after different town and cities from across Canada. Hand stitched,pattern is my original g.a.s. art pattern.

WORKING ON THE RAILROAD

This sleepy guy is made from a CN railroad blanket. (Canadian national railroad) The CN was stamped on the blanket.   Didn't even notice it until I got it home and put it in the wash. A nice surprise. Hand stitched, original g.a.s. art design.
